
Workshops Terms and Conditions
Background
These terms & conditions apply to Joanne Lo Education provision of any workshop or other service and should be read alongside the Parent Information Document and Consent provided via email; via www.joanneloeduation.com; attached at Schedule 1 and or via any other associated promotional material.

Bookings and Fees
Please make all bookings in advance either via contacting us as above and or via the online booking system, these will be confirmed by automated email.
Part or full payment is regarded as acceptance of our Terms & Conditions and your acknowledgement of any other guidance outlined in communication with you (“Parent Information Document and Consent”).
No booking will be confirmed prior to receipt of full payment and all child registration documents being completed.
Fees are set out via our website and or are communicated to you via email.
We may review and make reasonable alterations to the Fees from time to time.
We may charge additional costs and or expenses which we will agree with you in advance (e.g. for food and outgoings).
Fees are payable immediately to secure a booking. If sums remain unpaid the workshop will not be available to your child
3. Changes to Bookings and Cancellation
a. If you give us 14 or more days’ notice prior to your booking starting you may be able to change your dates, subject to availability, free of charge, provided you speak to a member of the JLE team at the earliest opportunity.
b. We may be unable to make changes with less than 7 days’ notice.
c. In exceptional circumstances JLE may be required to cancel dates. We will always provide an alternative date if one is available and if preferred, we can (in our discretion) refund all monies paid for any date cancelled.
Communication and Complaint
All communication will generally be made via email provided by the Parent and or Guardian.
All communication to JLE should be made to info@joanneloeduation.com It is the person who made the booking’s responsibility to ensure their email address is working and checked regularly. Participants should check their junk folders regularly in case JLE communications have been misdirected there.

Ofsted and DBS
JLE do not have to register with Ofsted if they care for children aged 5 and over (we will have no children under 5). Nevertheless, please be assured that we are fully DBS checked and vetted. Our policies and procedures, and insurance provision, meet all necessary requirements and the welfare of the children in our care will always take priority.
6. Available Dates & Activities
All information in our literature is correct at time of printing. Changes may occur and, if so, we will inform parents via our website as quickly as possible. Not every activity pictured or listed in our literature is always available.
7. Insurance
All children in our care are covered by our Public Liability Insurance.
8. Parental Obligations, Health Policy and First Aid
a. We require all children who are ill or infectious be kept home for the full duration of their ailment, and for 48 hours after the last symptom occurs.
b. You must provide us with detailed information of any medication that is to be taken by the child (whether prescribed or not). We can administer medication if a request is made in writing stipulating the dose, the time, your child’s name, and the duration of the treatment. We will not be able to administer your child’s medication without written permission.
c. You must inform us as soon as reasonably practicable if the child has been injured in any way since he/she was last in JLE care.
d. In the event of an incident, first aid will be administered to children in our care and the emergency services will be called if necessary.
e. Children must be dropped off and collected on time.
f. Parent must inform JLE of any medical ailments/special needs and or allergies etc that effect their child.
9. Lost Property
JLE is not liable for any lost, stolen, or damaged property.
10. Photography & Video
Please be aware that JLE occasionally take photographs/videos of children for promotional and informational material. If filming is due to take place, parents will be notified ahead of time via email. Please inform us via email if you have any objections to your child being featured in this material.
11. Equal Opportunities & Child Protection
a. JLE support equality and welcomes all children, regardless of their gender, ability, race, or religion.
b. Each child attending a JLE workshop is of equal value and is entitled to equal access and opportunity.
c. JLE has legal obligations in relation to Safeguarding and Child Protection. Our Safeguarding Policy can be found here [ ].
d. We will fully comply with our obligations under the Children Act 1989, Childcare Act 2006 or other applicable legislation and the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage.
12. Behaviour & Code Of Conduct
a. JLE encourage a relaxed atmosphere on their workshops and always aims to promote good behaviour. Upon booking you agree that your child or children will:
Respect the property of others;
Be patient, honest, fair, and polite to others;
Not use abusive or explicit language;
Not be aggressive in the way they speak or behave towards others; and
Respect and treat others as they would wish to be treated.
We have a responsibility for ensuring the wellbeing and safety of all children in our care and have approved procedures for managing behaviour. However, we are not a creche and or a childminder and are not ultimately responsible for control, discipline and behaviour.
Parents/Guardians will be informed of any unacceptable behaviour upon collection of their child. JLE may issue a warning to the parent/guardian regarding their child’s behaviour. We reserve the right to exclude the child from any future JLE workshop without refund if a warning is given
13. Liability
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended is intended to or will limit or exclude our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Our total liability for any loss or damage caused as a result of our negligence or breach of these Terms and Conditions is limited to the price paid for the workshop.

You agree and accept that your signature, dating, and return of this completed Parent Information and Booking/Consent Form will be confirmation of the booking of a workshop with JLE on the terms and conditions set out above and signed here.
